Testimonials from Clients

"A great service for older people who appreciate a helping hand. I have used the RIDES service five times. They are always on time and they always get me there. I hope the program continues."

"I am 82 and have had a stroke. Neither my husband nor I can drive anymore. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and RIDES took me to radiation every day for six weeks. My family and I are so grateful."

Volunteers:

Volunteers are crucial to the success of the RIDES program. Volunteers may drive their own vehicles or those belonging to the RIDES program. Some volunteers choose a fixed schedule per week or month while others serve as back up drivers. All volunteers must consent to a background check and attend a Volunteer Orientation session.

Our volunteers experience personal fulfillment through helping their community. Call (757)345-6166 to volunteer or Download Volunteer Application Here.

RIDES is a program of the Historic Triangle Senior Center, a 501c3 nonprofit. Donations are tax deductible. RIDES serves residents without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or income level.
